One Year of Vivid & Vibrant

It’s been one incredible year since I rebranded as Vivid & Vibrant Photography. Last month, I shared the meaning behind the name and the heart behind my branding choices. This month, I’m taking a moment to reflect on the growth, lessons, and memorable moments that have shaped my first year in business—and to look ahead with excitement for what’s to come.

Reflecting on Year One

When I transitioned from my previous identity, Theatrics & Graphics, I brought with me a deep love for landscape photography. That passion hasn’t changed—but I’ve also expanded my focus to include events and portraits, allowing me to connect with people and capture the moments that matter most.

Over the past year, I’ve had the joy of photographing small family events—like my niece’s first birthday—and community celebrations that brought neighbors together. While I keep many family photos private out of respect, each shoot reminds me of the beauty in everyday moments.

One of the most exciting milestones this year was having my photo “A Ducky Conversation” displayed at the Milford Arts Council’s expo. Seeing my work in a gallery setting for the first time was surreal, validating, and absolutely unforgettable.

Learning Beyond the Lens

Running a photography business means wearing a lot of hats—and I’ve loved the challenge. From learning new editing software and taking online classes, to fine-tuning my pricing model, this past year has been filled with discovery.

I’ve realized that content creation is about so much more than snapping great photos. It involves planning, strategy, editing, and marketing—all of which I’ve embraced with enthusiasm. Behind the scenes, it often feels like I’m running two businesses: the photography itself, and everything it takes to share that work with the world. But every step, even the tough ones, has helped me grow stronger as an artist and entrepreneur.

Looking Ahead

As I continue to refine my process and expand my offerings, my goal remains the same: to create sessions that feel relaxed, fun, and true to you—like shooting with your bestie. I want every client to walk away with not just beautiful images, but a vibrant memory of the experience itself.

Want to Be Part of the Story?

If you’re ready to capture your own colorful moments—whether it’s a celebration, portrait session, or creative concept—I’d love to work with you. Let’s make something vivid, vibrant, and uniquely you.

Stay Vibrant, Amanda
